My name starts is Jessica Upton I am 13 years old and have a dream to showjump at international level and ride for my country.
My ponies are Nemo and Stella who I bought myself out of my own money and I share a horse with my mum Floris!
I am also lucky to ride a young pony called Hally for my mum as she hasn’t grown big enough for her!
I haven’t won anything big yet but for the last two years qualified my novice ponies for 3 finals at the BS nationals.
I got a few top 6 placing at my first Hickstead this September as a senior.
I plan on getting Nemo qualified for 138 Winters and we will see what happens with Stella.
Hally is only young but we plan on doing national qualifiers with her! If I can get look in with Floris as my mum has plans herself then I would do some children on horses with him and Bluechip

pescha cordell
Currently we compete nationally and internationally in showjumping. We have a 10 year old called Rufus and a 5 year old called Snip.
Our biggest achievement to date is winning the CSI 1* silver tour accumulator. It was our first international win and a very special moment. A dream come true, and I can't thank Rufus enough for that!
Aspirations:
- Successfully compete Rufus in 1.30 classes nationally and internationally
- Jump 2* classes with Rufus
- Compete Snip in National and international 6 year old classes next year
- Qualify for second rounds with Snip next year

Amy Miller
My name is Amy Miller (AKA @SouthEastShowjumper), I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse living in
Ashford in Kent. I own two wonderful horses, Junior a 20-year-old KWPN gelding and Grace a 13-year-
old ISH mare who are stabled at a local livery yard.
I learnt to ride at a local riding school when I was 5 years old and have ridden ever since, growing up I
would take any ride I could get, from schooling troublesome ponies to mucking out for a ride, I really was
in it for the long run! I brought Junior when I was 18 years old and he has been a part of the team ever
since, he taught me a lot, brought my riding on massively, and really kept me grounded as a horse
owner/rider. My partner and I purchased Grace in April 2021, she was brought from the field as a project.
Grace had previously evented, and my aim was to bring her back into work and event her again. After a
successful year in 2022 at BE80, we decided in 2023 to step up to BE90. It really has been a wonderful
year competing Grace all around the country, we’ve competed at some amazing venues (Blenheim
Palace Eventers Challenge!) and many more.
A huge achievement this year has been that Grace and I have qualified for Badminton Grassroots 2024!
So watch this space and hopefully there will be a Badminton Grassroots BE90 Double Clear to celebrate
in May 2024!
Lauren is lovely, hard working and really cares about your horse! She will always take a thorough history and talk you through what she is doing and why she is doing it! Lauren has always continued to broaden her knowledge and expand her business to help all our horses in the South East and we are super grateful! Lauren so deserves this award for all her hard work, time and effort she puts in!
